Pielonefritis Enfisematosa. Presentación de un caso

the lethal natural history of emphysematous pyelonephritis is described in a case of a female patient with diabetes records, deficient metabolic control and lumbar anthrax. despite performing an emergency nephrectomy and receiving a correct treatment in the intensive care unit, the patient did not recover from the septic shock and died. emphysematous pyelonephritis is a very rare disease, but highly lethal when present. it is necessary to learn about its risk factors, particularly, poor-treated diabetes mellitus to establish an early diagnosis and treatment.
