%0 Journal Article %T Aprendizaje y ense£¿anza de la historia: Participaci¨®n e historia en educaci¨®n de adultos %A Hern¨¢ndez %A Graciela %A Visotsky %A Jessica %J Quinto sol %D 2004 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X the topic of literacy has been a worry for historians such as gramsci and other members of the school of birmingham and to pedagogues such as paulo freire; all of them have had as a starting point the idea that it was necessary to know the culture of the learners in order to make the process of literacy -although not always formal- allow the non-hegemonic people to express themselves in their own words, instead of repeating words. we re£¿ect on the relationship between the culture of populated urban areas, history, the teaching and the learning of history starting from a £¿eldwork done in 2003 in a provincial adult school in the city of bah¨ªa blanca. we will compare this material to the information compiled in other similar works done in the municipal literacy centers. we are interested in analyzing the in£¿uence of proposals for educational decentralization and the public policies in this area, since adult students (most of which are female) attend school in exchange for receiving social plans. %K literacy of adults %K teaching history %K public politics. %U http://www.scielo.org.ar/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1851-28792004000100005&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
