%0 Journal Article %T Percep£¿£¿o visual de grade senoidal radial ap¨®s o consumo de ¨¢lcool %A Galdino %A Melyssa Kellyane Cavalcanti %A Mendes %A Liana Chaves %A Vieira %A J¨¢kina Guimar£¿es %A Simas %A Maria L¨²cia de Bustamante %A Santos %A Natanael Antonio dos %J Psicologia USP %D 2011 %I Universidade de S?o Paulo %R 10.1590/S0103-65642011005000001 %X the aim of this study was to compare the visual perception of contrast in adults with no alcohol intake, and after moderate consumption of alcohol by them - 0.09% blood alcohol concentration (bac), through the contrast sensitivity function (csf). participated in the experiments five volunteers, aged 21-30 years, with normal or corrected visual acuity. to measure the csf, we used radial sine-wave grating stimuli of frequencies of 0.25; 2 e 8 cycles per degree of visual angle. we used an experimental design or sketch, with repeated measures, and a forced-choice psychophysical method. the results showed significant effect of subjects (f4, 55 = 25,518; p < 0,001), of frequencies (f2, 110 = 172,288; p < 0,001), and of the interaction between frequencies versus conditions versus subjects (f8, 110 = 26,806; p < 0,001). this preliminary study suggests changes in csf, related to moderate alcohol consumption. %K visual perception %K contrast sensitivity %K alcohol consumption %K radial sine-wave grating. %U http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0103-65642011000100006&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
