%X during a necropsy of a 13 years old equine from the federal rural university of rio de janeiro was observed the presence of a nodular lesion in the aorta artery, where 65 strongylus vulgaris immature stages were recovered. this nematode is responsable for many cases of thrombus formation in mesenteric arteries in equines
