%0 Journal Article %T Aplicaci¨®n del programa AERMOD para modelar dispersi¨®n de PM10 emitido por equipos de calefacci¨®n a le£¿a en la ciudad de Constituci¨®n %A Silva %A Adri¨¢n %A Arcos %A Dagoberto %J Obras y proyectos %D 2011 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %R 10.4067/S0718-28132011000100001 %X in this paper emission rates and loads of pm10 are estimated using the software aermod for the winter period of 2009 and 25 sources composed of firewood heating distributed in an inhabited urban area of constitucion city. where emission rates and loads do not exceed in any point the limit of 150 ¦Ìg/ m3 pm10 established by the chilean regulation ds 59/98, as well as those rates and loads which do exceed the regulations in 1, 2 and 3 or more points, were determined based on 24-hours concentrations. to not exceed the regulation, the average emission rate of a heating equipment must be lesser than 7.5 g/h of pm10. this regulation is exceeded in 1 and 2 points, when the average emission rate of firewood heating is between 10 and 22.5 and between 25 and 40 g/h of pm10, respectively. values higher than 45 g/h generate new points over 150 ¦Ìg/m3. concerning the load of pm10 does not exceed the regulation, pm10 load values must be lesser than 83 kg/d, and to exceed the regulation in 1 and 2 points, they must be between 83 kg/d and 249 kg/d and between 249 kg/d and 443 kg/d, respectively. the first two points in excess of 150 ¦Ìg/m3 are in the geographical coordinates 736700 me - 6085700 ms and 734900 me -6087600 (utm wgs 84). it is suggested to carried out air quality monitoring to calibrate and validate the model used in the study area. %K aermod software %K emission rate %K firewood heating %K particulate matter pm10 %K primary standard of air quality. %U http://www.scielo.cl/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0718-28132011000100001&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
