%0 Journal Article %T La escritura y el personaje femenino en la ficci¨®n hist¨®rica Juanamanuela mucha mujer %A Hern¨¢ndez Pe£¿aloza %A Amor %J Cuadernos del CILHA %D 2009 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X this paper explores the confrontation between literature and history in juanamanuela mucha mujer by martha mercader. this novel tells the life of an historical female character of the xix century: juana manuela gorriti. the author describes juanamanuela, as a woman in constant evolution, identity that responds to her own will and desire, in function of personal experiences, according to xix century¡äs women everyday life, but through the perspective of a xx century¡äs woman. the main character is a fiction lady writer that discloses the differences that exist between the way men see women and the way women see themselves. thus, the author fulfills her literary project: she makes evident and judge women¡äs role into an authoritarian and male chauvinist society, but taking into account mayor issues such as women specific creativity. martha mercader uses in juanamanuela mucha mujer, juana manuela gorriti¡äs work and in the analysis of past events, denouncing some social injustices. she attempts to rebuild manuela gorriti¡äs life with the purpose of explaining and understanding the contemporary latin-american women role frustrations while recognizing the aura of gorriti¡äs as an exceptional woman in argentinean literature history. %K history %K role %K representation %K writing. %U http://www.scielo.org.ar/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1852-96152009000200003&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
