%X this article deals with the mutation in social, economic and cultural representations and practices around the coffee crisis (of the grain) and coffee industry crisis (socio-cultural crisis) from 1987 to 2003, in the territory of the "coffee zone". the frame of the content of this text is a research titled "coffee crisis and regional context in the departments of caldas, risaralda, quind¨ªo and northern valle del cauca" carried out in 2003 by the research group territorialidades belonging to the universidad de caldas.
