%X the present document displays the results of the foundation phase of a research that seeks to explore the narratives constructed around the experience of teachers in the city of bogot¨˘. the researcher considers that he cannot tackle this problem without confronting himself as an object of investigation. thus, a self-ethnographic process of investigation was carried out: through the writing and analysis of different personal stories, the author tested reasons and conceptual elements that the investigation around public accountancy teachers should follow, from a perspective that rescues the subjectivity of social sciences. the document closes with the acknowledgement of boundaries in narrative methods and a restoration of their uses throught the author's learning on the self-ethnographic experience.
