%X in this article we explore the history of las12, the feminist publication of p¨˘gina/12 journal, since its first appearance in 1998 until today. the analysis intends to replace previous publications of this kind in the print media of argentina, the context of its emergence and the relationships that established with the newspaper to which belongs. while describing its style and proposing a periodization of its history, we discuss the relevance of regarding it as "gender journalism" in the mode that it is currently defined. we compare this publication with two projects for which is a mandatory reference: the asociaci¨Žn civil artemisa comunicaci¨Žn and its website; and soy, the publication of sexual diversity of p¨˘gina/12, which was born in 2008 and shares its director with las12. the last section of this work is devoted to la rep¨˛blica de las mujeres, the feminist publication of the uruguayan newspaper la rep¨˛blica, in order to show its coincidences ands distances in respect to las12.
