%X in argentine, illegal abortions are one of the main causes of mortality and damage to women in their fertility cycle. like in many latin american countries, the opposition from the catholic church has been decisive to uphold the prohibition. in this context, cat車licas por el derecho a decidir offers an alternative stance to the official discourse of the catholic church hierarchy from a feminist and catholic perspective. the aim of this article is to explore their arguments, which involve theological, sanitary, moral and human rights factors.
