%0 Journal Article %T Hechos hist¨®ricos y textos dram¨¢ticos: el campo santafesino y el drama rural entre 1904 y 1920 %A St£¿mpfli %A Guillermo %J Memoria americana %D 2007 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X the current paper proposes a dialogue between historical processes of social change recorded by the historiography of santa fe province and three theater plays describing the situation of the area during 1904 and 1920. the plays in itself are: la gringa written by florencio s¨¢nchez; la flor de trigo by jos¨¦ de maturana and madre tierra by alejandro berruti. following some hypothesis already developed by roberto giusti (1933) and alicia aisemberg and mar¨ªa de los ¨¢ngeles sanz (1999) we will focus on the social and political meaning those texts reveal. we will analyze how the underlying notion of pueblo was constructed in the dramatic creations of maturana and berruti, closely associated with anarchist ideas, since both authors were able to overcome the stereotype immigrant-natives created by sanchez. %K dramas %K rural conflicts %K migration %K "pueblo". %U http://www.scielo.org.ar/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1851-37512007000100007&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
