%0 Journal Article %T Tratamento endovascular da dissec£¿£¿o cr£¿nica de aorta tipo B complicada %A Metzger %A Patrick Bastos %A Fontes %A Deo Cesar Carneiro %A Novero %A Eduardo Rafael %A Marco %A Vanessa Luciene Abreu de %A Moreira %A Samuel Martins %A Rossi %A Fabio Henrique %A Barbato %A Heraldo Antonio %A Cano %A Manoel Nicolas %A Izukawa %A Nilo Mitsuru %A Kambara %A Antonio M. %J Revista Brasileira de Cardiologia Invasiva %D 2012 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %R 10.1590/S2179-83972012000200013 %X background: endovascular repair of aortic diseases is a well-established therapeutic alternative for patients with appropriate anatomy and/or high surgical risk, providing lower morbidity and mortality rates. this study aimed at analyzing the outcomes of asymptomatic patients undergoing endovascular treatment of thoracic aortic dissections with aortic diameter > 5.5 cm or endoleaks. technical success, therapeutic success, morbidity and mortality and perioperative complication and reintervention rates were assessed. methods: retrospective study, performed at a reference center from january 2010 to july 2011, which analyzed consecutive patients undergoing endovascular repair of chronic complicated type b aortic dissection according to stanford classification. results: twenty-six patients were treated. mean age was 56.4 ¡À 7 years and 61.5% were male. technical and therapeutic success rates were 100% and 74%, respectively. perioperative mortality was 7.6% and the mortality rate in the first year of follow-up was 19.3%. the reintervention rate was 15.3%. conclusions: in our study, the endovascular treatment of chronic type b aortic dissection proved to be a feasible method with acceptable perioperative complication rates. therapeutic success and reintervention rates demonstrated the need of a close and careful clinical follow-up of these patients. %K dissection %K aorta %K thoracic %K prostheses and implants %K atherosclerosis. %U http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S2179-83972012000200013&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
