Avances de la Disciplina %D 2011 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X the present research is related to the teaching of psychology in colombia. its objective are: to characterize psychologist's competences that define the main international and national models of competences, to analyze them and finally, to propose a new model for the formation of the psychologist in colombia. the method used was the review and analysis of documents of each model taking into account: the definition of the concept of competence, the classification of competences, the educational strategies for the development and evaluation of such competences; and the curricular areas associated with such competences. as a conclusion, it's was established that the majority of the models define competences since a professional approach focused on the psychological service delivered to users, but this definition is not related to the life project of psychologists, so that's why it` s proposed a new model of competences to response to that need. %K ability competence %K competency-based education %K performance %K skills. %U http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1900-23862011000200010&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
