Avances de la Disciplina %D 2011 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X this study investigates the relationship of physical activity with aggressiveness, impulsivity, internet and video games. the research involved 254 colombian adolescents between 12 and 17 years (md = 14.18, sd = 1.47). three instruments were applied, the barrat's impulsivity scales for children (bis 11-c), the aggression questionnaire of buss & perry (aq) and the cage questionnaire for detecting problems of internet and video games in adolescents. the results show a significant relationship between physical activity with the cognitive component of impulsivity (rs = 1.92, p <.001), and the use of internet and video games (rs =.142, p <.05). the present study confirms once again the gender differences in the performance of physical activity in adolescents (u=5555.0, p=.000). there weren't significant differences in age groups (¦Ö2(5) = 7.42, p = 0.191), and no significant correlations were found with the other components of impulsivity and aggression. %K physical activity %K adolescence %K internet %K video games %K impulsivity %K aggression. %U http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1900-23862011000100002&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
