%X the clinical case of an elderly woman with colovaginal fistula after a complicated diverticular disease is reported, who was operated by the authors with the purpose of performing fistulotomy followed by sigmoidectomy of the damaged segment with termino-terminal anastomosis and closing of vaginal vault hole, warranting a favorable postoperative course.
