%0 Journal Article %T Finales: Muerte y amor en el pensamiento artšªstico %A Useche %A Alejandro %J Letras %D 2010 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X the experience of one self£¿s symbolic death, as well as that of the others£¿ image and of the things around us is one of the mechanisms with greater scope in the heuristic processes in general. this text aims at identifying and explaining the concomitant factors of such death. it is also a reflection upon its sources, procedures and implications in the literary and plastic creative processes. death as a theme has been excluded from this verbal course. on the contrary, appealing to poetic documents and to alchemic images of psychological nature, we have proposed, always in a temporary sense, the following conceptual result: heuristic life implies a series of symbolic deaths as part of a process of depuration from the accessories. in this sense, our statement is inclined towards poetics, since it offers flexible and symbolic, metaphoric or ironic prescriptions on the possible factors that should be taken into account by the artist in their work. we assume that the thanatic work over one self and the others makes the matter a heuristic outline or framework that implies that what is temporal or accidental gets transmuted into essence; what is sentimental, into memory; what is diverse, into unity. this rests on the idea that art is not a translation of life, but death and re-invention of it. to narrow down our action field we have focused on the topics of desire and love as raw materials for the creative work. %K symbolic studies %K death %K art %K love %K death. %U http://www.scielo.org.ve/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0459-12832010000300006&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
