%X in buenos aires, in the middle of the decade de 1930 with the creation of the sociedad de puericultura, the action developed by the direcci¨®n de protecci¨®n a la primera infancia from 1908 inside the asistencia p¨²blica, was intensified. the decrease of infant mortality, principal objective of the both institution's work, it was achieved through perfomance a children's protection program. the dispensaries and the institutes of puericultura, turned in the spaces of everyday meeting between puericultores, mothers and sons, where penetrated a complex and fickle reality which exceeded the medical and educative attendance, consolidated welfare and splited the valid maternal ideal.
