%X the investigation about the trees on an avenue in belo horizonte is a case study through which we emphasize the importance of the relationship between man and nature in the urban environment. the cutting of 350 f¨ªcus benjamina planted along the afonso pena avenue, just before the 1964 military coup d£¿¨¦tat - in a decision that split the inhabitants - has assumed affective, urban, social and, specially, political significance.
