%X we discuss the effect of interfaces on different physical properties in artificially grown materials when their dimensions are in the nanometer scale. specifically we present results of magnetic properties in ferromagnetic / antiferromagnetic bilayers based on calcium doped lanthanum manganite perovskite oxide; mechanical and corrosive properties in tin/zrn and hfn/vn superlattices.
