%X within the dicksonia sellowiana conservation program, the spatial distribution in bogot¨¢ zone and its influence area was made, using information of regional herbaria, biodiversity data bases, and state, number of individuals (343) and the facility in approach, and morfometric variables were considered for each individual. a model of potential distribution of the fern was made considering fundamental niche concept. healthiness and propagation studies complemented the conservation work. d. sellowiana is in danger mainly for human factors and education and propagation in soil are good strategies for conservation of the fern using the young plants in ecological restoration programs.
