%X bioassay-guided fractionation of the alkaloidal extract of the green fruits of solanum asperum afforded a new compound, solanandaine along with solasonine and solamargine. the total crude alkaloids as well as the isolated pure alkaloids exhibited significant molluscicidal activity.
