%X abstract the analysis of mass media from a gender perspective gives proposals for enriching the open discussion and shows how the problem of gender discrimination has not yet been fully resolved. consequently, this gap is also evident when we analyze the biased portrayal of women's work on the press. the researches that we have carried out proof that the problem of the media explanations is the result of adopting one specific approach that reproduce the hegemonic andocentric model. this model has been constructed by defining in positive/negative "the others" regarding different social divisions.
