%X the aim of this paper is to shed light on the gap separating derrida and l¨¦vinas in their attempt to provide some room for alterity. it shows how differences between both heterologies get modulated in the consecutive readings of levinasian works by derrida, in a way that, surprisingly, the more deconstruction is consciously assumed as a strategy to follow, the closer their proposals are, despite maintaining their own heterogeneity.
