%X la amortajada, by mar¨ªa luisa bombal, has an original version (1938) and another one modified by herself at 1968, which has had subsequent editions. among the current editions only unam's is similar to the one published in 1938; the others consulted correspond to the one from 1968. the modified edition includes important additions with regard to the religious matter, which let me make an analysis regarding the religious freedom that ana mar¨ªa, the main character, practiced through her life and could reflect between her first and her second deaths. that religious freedom is manifested as a transgression, given the historical-social conditions as a woman of that period (beginning of xxth century with heritage of the xix century) and outlines her as a woman with innovative ideas, more attached to the nature, to the cosmic.
