%X this paper is focussing on the morph-syntactic structure of the adverbial expressions, more specifically on those beginning with the preposition a. the material is taken from two diccionaries: one general diccionary as the diccionario de la real academia de la lengua espa£¿ola drae and another phraseological diccionary, the diccionario de locuciones y expresiones familiares. once identified all the relevant structures, we have continued with estableshing a functional pattern, something which has made it possible for us to observe which structures are the productive ones, that can be used as a base for new examples, and which are less efficient patterns when talking about reproduction and the creation of new units.
