%X the present article proposes the translation of some labels used for the phonetic categories of the international phonetic alphabet. the topic of the article is presented in the introduction; a discussion concerning the natural rationale for the criteria used in the selection of such labels is presented in the the second section; an argument in favor of some options is presented in the third section, and the rationale for the use of certain labels of the so-called diacritics is found in the fourth and last section.
