G %J Formaci¨®n universitaria %D 2011 %I Centro de Informaci¨®n Tecnol¨®gica (CIT) %R 10.4067/S0718-50062011000600006 %X the o6jective of this research was to determine the relationship 6etween didactic rationality and rationality of scientific theories. the epistemological and pedagogical implications of platonic and aristotelian philosophy and the rationality of scientific theories alluded to in epistemological texts are analyzed. it was found that scientific theories have a defined rationality and each pedagogical theory supports a didactics that is consistent with the rationality of that theory. sometimes didactic rationality and that of the scientific theory coincide, 6ut sometimes are immeasura6le. the solution is a didactics supported in the same rationality that the scientific theory 6eing studied. this can 6e determined by the philosophical affiliation of the concepts and categories of the pedagogical theory and the scientific theory to 6e discussed in the courses. this didactic strategy is in contrast to those 6ased on disciplinarity, interdisciplinarity, metarationality and transdisciplinarity. %K rationality %K theory %K didactics %K incommensurability %K philosophical affiliation. %U http://www.scielo.cl/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0718-50062011000600006&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
