%0 Journal Article %T Preliminary Study of Aquatic Hyphomycetes from Venezuelan streams %A SMITS %A Gunta %A FERN¨¢NDEZ %A Rafael %A CRESSA %A Claudia %J Acta Bot¨¢nica Venezuelica %D 2007 %I Fundaci¨®n Instituto Bot¨¢nico de Venezuela Dr. Tob¨ªas Lasser %X fifty species of aquatic hyphomycetes from seven streams, six of which are located in venezuelan national parks are reported. community similarity of hyphomycetes was low since only four species were common to all sites: campylospora chaetocladia ranzoni, clavatospora tentacula sv.nilsson, triscelophorus acuminatus nawawi and triscelophorus monosporus ingold. the streams had unique species whose number varies between one and three. in r¨ªo los castillos the species were: anguillospora longissima (sacc. & p.syd.) ingold, angulospora aquatica sv.nilsson and phalangispora nawawi kuthub.; for quebrada guatopo the species were clavariopsis azlanii nawawi, condylospora flexuosa nawawi & kuthub. and hydrometrospora symmetrica j.g£¿ncz£¿l & r¨¦vay; for r¨ªo cabriales the species were camposporium antennatum harkn., phalangispora constrica nawawi & j.webster, scorpiosporium chaetocladium (ingold) dyko. quebrada martinera and r¨ªo to-come had one species unique isthmotricladia gombakiensis nawawi and flabellospora verticillataalas., respectively. r¨ªo c¨²pira and quebrada ingenio do not have species exclusively to any of them. thirty species are reported for the first time for the country. %K aquatic hyphomycetes %K national parks %K streams %K venezuela. %U http://www.scielo.org.ve/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0084-59062007000200005&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
