%X vochysia poncy-barrieri marc.-berti from per¨² is described and illustred. this new species belongs to subsection ferrugineae warm., section ciliantha stafleu. the characteristics that separate it from the related species v. majuscula pilg. y v. punctata spruce ex warm. are analyzed.
