%X the preliminary results of an ethnobotanic inventory carried out in the rural settlements las delicias and el guamo, serrania imataca, bol¨ªvar state, are presented. this study is product of a proposal of integral development, that included a diagnosis of the use potentiality of the existing botanical resource in the area. 79 species were inventoried, of which 51 are useful species, the majority used by the people in traditional medicine, according to the consultation of a local person with experience in local plants. a floristic list of the species registered in the study area is included.
