%X the paper briefly sets forth the patriotic familiar roots of dr roberto guerra v¨¢ldes, as well as his brilliant formation as physician, surgeon and professor that allowed him to fulfill step by step the programs of the medical school of the havana university, without having to go to foreign institutions to receive or strengthen his formation. this determining participation in the university crisis and the study reform carried out from 1959 to 1962 in the havana university and his close identification with the cuban socialist revolution which made him hold key posts at important and dangerous moments of our history are underlined n the paper.
