%X the objective of the work was to study the landscape of the itaja¨ª's historic center, city which has been occupied since the xviii, a city of the state of santa catarina - brazil and to identify the potentialities for the development of the cultural tourism, based on the categories of cullen (1971), lynch (1997), rossi (1995) and boull¨®n (2002). the bibliographic, documentary and field research assisted in the identification of the cultural tourism's attributes.
