%X the research described in this article aims to examine how information technology (it) has been applied in supply chain management (scm) in the city of s£¿o lu¨ªs do maranh£¿o. results indicate which technologies are most used and which are not widely applied, as well as benefits and barriers to this adoption. it reveals a scenario of opportunities for the effective use of it, which could contribute to local development, through the changing reality of its suppliers.
