%X the traditional debate on universals is treated here from the ancient point of view, specifically from the aristotelian perspective. aristotle£¿s view on platonism is reviewed here, and a attempt to analyze how strong is his rejection of his master£¿s idealism is made. if aristotle rejected completely plato£¿s idealism he will become a nominalist, otherwise we would have to investigate in which aspects aristotle continued maintaining the existence of form over matter.
