Fluorene derivatives, as important members of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) family, have broad application prospects in biomedical, pharmaceutical research, optoelectronic materials, organometallic catalysis, and other fields. In the past few decades, the synthesis of fluorene derivatives has attracted widespread attention from synthetic chemists. Given the growing interest in this field and the rapidly developing research trend, this article summarizes the latest progress in the synthesis methods of fluorene derivatives.
