%X 随着经济全球化的步伐不断加快，中国优秀传统文化也被越来越多的英语国家读者所接触，中国传统节日也以其内容形式的多样性、历史文化的浓厚性吸引了众多英语国家读者的兴趣。而《红楼梦》作为中国优秀传统文化的代表作品，就展示了中国古代丰富的节日文化。《红楼梦》的节日文化翻译，对于讲好中国故事，提升自身文化软实力具有重要的作用。本文从文化翻译理论视角出发，对《红楼梦》中的节日文化进行翻译研究，同时，分别选取杨宪益、戴乃迭译本(简称杨戴译本)以及霍克斯的译本(简称霍译本)进行对比研究，分析两个译本的译者如何采取一定的翻译策略，实现有效翻译，更好地向英语读者展示中国文化，同时为类似的文化翻译提供借鉴，推动中国文化的向外传播，展示中国的特色文化。
With the accelerating pace of economic globalization, Chinese excellent traditional culture has been exposed to more and more English-speaking readers, and Chinese traditional festivals have also attracted the interest of many English-speaking readers with their diversity of content forms and strong history and culture. “Hong Lou Meng”, as a representative work of Chinese excellent traditional culture, shows the rich festival culture in ancient China. The festival culture translation of “Hong Lou Meng” plays an important role in telling Chinese stories well and promoting its own cultural soft power. From the perspective of culture translation, this paper studies the translation of festival culture in “Hong Lou Meng”. At the same time, it selects Yang Xianyi and Gladys Yang’s translation and Hawkes’s translation for comparative study, and analyzes how the translators of the two translations adopt certain translation strategies to achieve effective translation and to better show Chinese culture to English readers. And at the same time, it can provide reference for similar cultural translation, promote the spread of Chinese culture to the outside world, and show the characteristics of Chinese culture.
