Aiming at the localization replacement demand of pneumatic conveying sample boxes in the fully automatic iron and steel quick sorting system, this paper solves the problem of short service life of domestic sample boxes through material analysis, structural optimization, and performance testing. The study finds that the first-generation domestic sample boxes have defects such as loose sample lids and cracking of detection rings. By implementing measures such as reinforcing threaded connections, increasing wall thickness, applying sealant, and optimizing wear-resistant ring structures, a second-generation domestic sample box is developed. Tests show that the optimized sample boxes have an average service life of over 6 months and an average number of uses exceeding 6000 times, with a cost reduction of 75% compared to imported sample boxes.
