Suspense films’ posters construct a cross-media narrative system through visual symbols. They not only play a significant role in both artistry and commerciality, but also establish a deep connection with the film’s plot, greatly enriching the audience’s emotional experience and narrative participation. In cross-media narratives, the posters achieve narrative expansion through the extension of the plot world in a confined space, the linkage of symbols, and the multiple interpretations by the audience. This provides a new dimension for the film’s narrative and enhances its dissemination effect and cultural significance.
