Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (Supplement the Middle and Boost the Qi Decoction) is a representative prescription in Nei Wai Shang Bian Huo Lun (Treatise on the Differentiation of Internal and External Injuries), which was finalized by Li Dong yuan during his lifetime and prefaced by himself. This prescription highly summarizes the academic theoretical thoughts of Li Dong yuan’s spleen-stomach theory. This paper attempts to use Huang Yuanyu’s theory of “the circulation of Qi as a whole” to briefly analyze its pathogenesis from two aspects: the decline of middle Qi, the deficiency and decline of spleen-yang, leading to the generation of dampness and transformation into fire; the decline of middle Qi, the stagnation of earth due to dampness and the depression of wood, with wood counteracting earth and dampness transforming into fire. It also discusses the composition of this prescription from the aspects of supplementing Qi and warming the spleen, regulating Qi and drying dampness, and regulating Ying (nutrient Qi) and soothing the liver. By analyzing this prescription from different perspectives, it aims to provide new ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment. %K 黄元御, %K 一气周流, %K 补中益气汤
