A Study on the Relationship between Oral Self-Efficacy and Willingness to Communicate among Junior High School Students %A 黄佳怡 %J Modern Linguistics %P 545-554 %@ 2330-1716 %D 2025 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/ml.2025.136627 %X 本研究通过调查问卷了解初中学生英语课堂交流意愿现状,探究口语自我效能感与交流意愿之间的相关性。结果表明,我国初中生普遍具有较高的英语交流意愿,且性别差异并不显著。进一步分析发现,口语自我效能感显著影响学生的交流意愿。高自我效能感的学生更积极参与交流,而低自我效能感的学生则倾向于回避交流。这些发现对提升初中学生的口语交流能力与社交互动具有重要意义。教育工作者与家长应关注并支持学生口语自我效能感的发展,提供适当的支持与指导,以增强学生的交流意愿。
The study employs a questionnaire survey to investigate the status quo of junior high school students’ willingness to communicate in English classrooms and to explore the correlation between oral self-efficacy and willingness to communicate. The results indicate that junior high school students in China generally exhibit a high level of willingness to communicate in English, with no significant gender differences observed. Further analysis reveals that oral self-efficacy significantly influences students’ willingness to communicate. Students with higher levels of oral self-efficacy are more likely to actively participate in communication activities, whereas those with lower levels of oral self-efficacy tend to avoid such interactions. These findings hold significant implications for enhancing junior high school students’ oral communication competence and social interaction skills. It is recommended that educators and parents pay close attention to and support the development of students’ oral self-efficacy by providing appropriate support and guidance to strengthen their willingness to communicate. %K 交流意愿, %K 自我效能, %K 初中生
