However, in one third of cases, it can occur in immunocompetent patients [1]. Nocardia infections in immunocompetent patients represent a diagnostic challenge given the clinical and radiological similarity with infectious diseases and neoplasms [2]. We present the case of a Nocardia cyriacigeorgica pneumonia in an immunocompetent patient who had no history of immunosuppressive agent use, signs of immunodeficiency, or any concomitant diseases.
