In the context of globalization and the integration of diverse cultures, the cultivation of reading ability among students majoring in Chinese language and literature is of great significance. Reading ability is not only the core of professional literacy, having a profound impact on professional learning, personal accomplishment shaping, and career development, such as helping to improve the understanding of literary works and facilitating academic research, but also capable of cultivating critical thinking and enhancing cultural heritage and aesthetic ability. However, this ability is restricted by internal and external factors such as learning motivation, knowledge reserve, curriculum setting, and reading resources.
