The Three Gorges area of the Yangtze River, with its long history and rich culture, has given birth to a variety of folk art resources. These resources span several domains, including sculpture, paper-cutting, architecture, painting, and embroidery, recording the lives of the local people and reflecting a profound cultural heritage. In primary school art education, the value of these resources lies in the inheritance of traditional culture, enhancement of cultural confidence, improvement of the inheritance dilemma of folk art, and the enhancement of students’ practical abilities. Exploring strategies to integrate these resources into teaching aims to enrich educational content, stimulate students’ interest in art, cultivate their aesthetics and creativity, while strengthening their sense of identity and pride in local culture, promoting in-depth development of primary school art education.
