The Impact of Digital Economy on Industrial Structure Upgrading—A Perspective Based on Technological Innovation and Technology Market Development %A 张姗姗 %A 杨少华 %J E-Commerce Letters %P 3536-3546 %@ 2168-5851 %D 2025 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/ecl.2025.1451671 %X 数字经济是以数字技术为核心驱动力的新型经济形态，是推动传统产业实现数字化转型和高质量发展的必由之路。本文基于2015~2023年中国31个省份的面板数据实证分析了数字经济对产业结构升级的影响机制。研究通过熵值法构建数字经济发展水平指标，并采用双向固定效应模型和中介效应模型进行检验。研究发现：数字经济发展显著促进产业结构升级；技术创新和技术市场发展在数字经济与产业结构升级之间发挥显著的中介作用；数字经济对中西部地区产业结构升级的促进作用更为显著。综上所述，本研究揭示了数字经济通过技术创新和技术市场发展“双路径”驱动产业结构升级的内在机制，为理解数字经济的结构性效应提供了理论依据，并给出了相应政策建议。
The digital economy, as a new economic paradigm driven by digital technologies, serves as an essential pathway for promoting the digital transformation of traditional industries and achieving high-quality development. Based on panel data from 31 Chinese provinces between 2015 and 2023, this study empirically analyzes the impact mechanism of the digital economy on industrial structure upgrading. The research constructs a digital economy development index using the entropy method and employs a two-way fixed-effects model alongside a mediating effects model for validation. The findings reveal that: The development of the digital economy significantly promotes industrial structure upgrading; Both technological innovation and technology market development play notable mediating roles between the digital economy and industrial structure upgrading; The positive effect of the digital economy on industrial structure upgrading is more pronounced in central and western regions compared to the eastern region. In summary, this study uncovers the intrinsic mechanism through which the digital economy drives industrial structure upgrading via the “dual pathways” of technological innovation and technology market development.
