Promoting the integrated construction of mental health education curricula elementary and secondary schools, and colleges and universities is a pivotal task in deepening the systemic reform of mental health education. Currently, the integrated construction of mental health education curricula faces practical challenges, including inadequate curriculum coverage, ambiguous curriculum standards, inconsistent quality of teaching materials, insufficient professional competence among teachers, and a disconnect between teaching content and students’ psychological development. Therefore, the article introduces that based on achieving comprehensive coverage of mental health education curricula, establish a spirally progressive curriculum standards system, systematically optimize the coherence mechanism of teaching material content, and create a vertically integrated mental health education curriculum system that adheres to students’ cognitive and psychological development; enhance teaching professionalism through joint teacher training and the establishment of cross-educational-stage teaching and research communities; and promote the implementation of a holistic education and teaching system, thereby forming an integrated curriculum construction pathway of “curriculum coverage-standard guidance-material integration-teacher collaboration-system implementation”.
