Hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan, has emerged as a promising agent in periodontal therapy due to its hydrating, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative properties. This study investigates the therapeutic efficacy of combining low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid (HA) with radon-rich mineral water from Tskaltubo in the non-surgical treatment of mild Stage 1 chronic periodontitis. Thirty patients were enrolled and divided into two groups: one receiving conventional HA therapy and the other receiving HA in conjunction with radon water rinses. Clinical assessments, including oral hygiene index (OHI-s), bleeding on probing (BOP), and microvascular perfusion via Doppler ultrasonography, were performed at baseline, one week, and one month post-treatment. Both groups demonstrated clinical improvement, but the combination group showed more rapid and sustained reductions in inflammation, bleeding, and improved gingival microcirculation.
