This paper explores the teaching reform and practice of mathematical modeling courses in the context of New Engineering to cultivate high-quality new-type military talents. In response to current issues in mathematical modeling teaching, a reform approach is proposed. This approach emphasizes moral education, practical application, student interest, and capability cultivation. Through measures such as restructuring teaching content, innovating teaching methods, strengthening practical teaching, and refining faculty teams, the reform aims to develop students’ scientific thinking, innovative awareness, and teamwork spirit, and enhance their comprehensive analytical, information processing, and practical skills. %K 数学建模, %K 教学改革, %K 军事应用
