Excavate Cultural Elements from Instructional Materials to Cultivate Students’ Cultural Consciousness—Taking the Article of Thanksgiving in North America as an Example %A 王雨佳 %J Creative Education Studies %P 381-386 %@ 2331-804X %D 2025 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/ces.2025.135352 %X 本研究以人教版英语八年级上册“Thanksgiving in North America”文章为切入点,深入探讨初中英语阅读教学中文化意识的培养。剖析了文化意识内涵,区分其与文化知识的不同,并阐述相关研究现状。继而指出英语阅读教学在文化意识培养方面、教师和学生存在的问题。接着进行语篇分析,根据文章,结合学生学情,明确教学目标与重难点,介绍教学方法,最后强调教师应挖掘教材文化内涵,融合语言与文化教学,以助学生素养提升,适应全球化发展。
This study takes the article “Thanksgiving in North America” in the first volume of the eighth grade of People’s Education Press Edition English as the starting point, and deeply discusses the cultivation of Chinese awareness in junior high school English reading teaching. This paper analyzes the connotation of cultural consciousness, distinguishes its difference from cultural knowledge, and expounds the current status of related research. Then, the problems of teachers and students in the cultivation of cultural awareness in English reading teaching are pointed out. Then, the discourse analysis is carried out, according to the article, combined with the students’ learning situation, the teaching objectives and difficulties are clarified, the teaching methods are introduced, and finally the teachers should explore the cultural connotation of the teaching materials and integrate language and cultural teaching, so as to help students improve their literacy and adapt to the development of globalization. %K 文化知识, %K 文化意识, %K 初中英语, %K 阅读教学
