Sacubitril-valsartan is a drug for the treatment of heart failure, and recent studies have shown significant efficacy and safety in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and chronic renal diseases. The dual-target mechanism of action of the drug weakens the neuroendocrine activation of patients with heart failure, and at the same time can increase renal blood flow and reduce blood pressure to a certain extent, which brings benefits to patients with a double blow to the heart and kidney. The results of clinical trials and multicenter clinical trials have shown that patients treated with sacubitril-valsartan sodium can also observe significant improvements in kidney function while improving cardiac function. This discovery provides a new therapeutic strategy, and its unique cardiorenal protective mechanism provides new hope for the comprehensive management of cardiovascular diseases and chronic renal diseases. Nevertheless, more clinical studies are needed to verify the safety and efficacy of its long-term application.
