Study on the Pathways for Integrating Moral Education into Academic English Writing Course for Undergraduate English Majors under the New Liberal Arts Construction Initiative

%X 作为高等外语教育的核心课程,学术英语写作也跟其他课程同向同行,承担着立德树人的根本任务。本文以针对应用型高校英语专业本科生开设的《研究方法与学术写作》课程为例,结合国家、社会、专业以及学生的需求,探索在本门课程中“润物无声”地实现课程育人目标的路径。研究表明,通过重新构建课程的整体框架,从人才培养方案着手,自上而下地在教学大纲和教学设计的每个层面融入课程思政,通过调整教学目标、重构教学内容、丰富教学资源、优化教学评价、创新教学模式以及合理使用AI技术等,环环相扣,能更好地实现课程的育人效果。
As a core component of advanced foreign language education, academic English writing shares the fundamental mission of cultivating well-rounded talents for our nation. Taking the course Research Methodology and Academic Writing for English majors in application-oriented universities as a case study, this paper explores approaches to subtly integrate moral education through aligning curriculum design with national, societal, and student needs. Findings demonstrate that effective ethical cultivation requires systematic integration, including reorienting teaching objectives, redesigning teaching content, enriching teaching resources, bettering teaching assessments, innovating teaching models and properly using artificial intelligence assisting teaching tools within the course frameworks, while seamlessly embedding ideological-political elements in syllabus and teaching design. This interconnected implementation model enhances the moral education effect of this curriculum.
